Douglas Johnson
Mayor
Douglas Johnson or “Doug” was elected to his first term as Mayor in November 2001. Doug was re-elected in 2005 and is serving his second 4-year term beginning January 1, 2006.

Mayor Johnson has a Specialist Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Toledo. Prior to becoming the Mayor of the City of Bryan, Doug spent 34 years in education including 13 years as Superintendent at Central Local Schools and 13 years as Assistant Principal, Athletic Director, and Principal at Bryan High School. Doug also managed Gorny Winzeler for three (3) years gaining experience in business/retail and was President of the Chamber of Commerce in 1999.

Doug is a Board of Director for the Ohio Municipal Electric Association, and the Ohio Municipal League. Doug is also a member of the Williams County Mayor’s Association.

Doug and his wife Donna have three daughters and five grandchildren. They are members of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Tommy Morr
Ward 1
Tommy began his term as council member on January 1, 2006. Tommy has been a Bryan resident for 37 years. Tommy is a graduate of Fayette High School and is a Vietnam veteran. Tommy is the sales and service manager at TruFast Corporation, and is active as a high school official for basketball and football.

Tommy and his wife Janis have been married 38 years and have two sons, James and Andrew, both of Bryan. Tommy and his wife also have five grandchildren, Ian, Evan, Alex, Margo and Tara.

Tommy and his family attend Trinity Lutheran Church in Bryan.

Mark Kelly
Ward 2
Mark began his term as council member on January 1, 2006. He is a lifelong citizen of Bryan having graduated from Bryan High School in 1969. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1973 and is a lifetime member of the OSU Alumni Association. He is a graduate of the Williams County Leadership program sponsored by the Bryan Area Chamber Of Commerce.

Mark has been self employed since 1979. He has owned Kelly Awards, a retail business on the square since 1986. He also drives school bus for the Stryker Schools in the morning.

He is a Past President of the Bryan Athletic Boosters, the Williams County Genealogical Society and the Williams County Historical Society. He currently serves as Commissioner of The Buckeye Border Conference and has been President of Bryan Church League Softball since 1979.

Mark is married to Jane, who is the Local History and Genealogical Coordinator at the Williams County Public Library. He has two sons, Corey and Colin and two stepchildren, Cassandra and Stuart.

Mark likes to spend his spare time doing genealogical and local history research and reading. He has been a high school basketball official since 1979 and he has been Bryan High School's Football Videographer and statistician for 20 years.

Keith Day
Ward 3
Keith began his term January 1, 2006. He has lived in Bryan for 43 years. He worked at Spangler Candy Company for 6 years, ARO Corporation for 6 years, and 31 years for Montpelier Schools as a teacher and coach, retiring in 2002. Keith has worked for Bryan City Schools as a part time bus driver, coach and substitute teacher for 11 1/2 years. Keith now works part time as a test administrator for NEAP.

Keith has B.S. and M.S. degrees from BGSU. Keith is active in community theater with both Fountain City Festival and Williams County Community Theater. He is a member of the Bryan Moose Lodge and Bryan Lions Club.

Keith and his wife, Trudy, are active members of the Trinity Luthern Church of Bryan. They have two married sons, a daughter, and four grandchildren.

Richard Wright
Ward 4
Dick was appointed as a council member in May, 2000. Dick and his family have been residents of Bryan since 1986. Dick is currently an investment broker for Edward Jones Investments, here in Bryan.

Before moving to Bryan Dick served on Montpelier Village Council for 8 years. He has also served as chairman of the Williams County Board of MRDD for 3 years. Dick has been in the banking industry for 27 years. He is a graduate of Defiance College with a BS in Business Administration.

Dick’s wife Janet is employed by Bryan City Schools and their two children, Courtney and Derek are both graduates of Bryan High School.
