  • Flourescent Bulb Recycling

    City residents may dispose of fluorescent bulbs at the Bryan Municipal Utilities office, located at 841 East Edgerton Street. There is no charge for recycling. Residential bulbs only. No broken bulbs accepted. You must show proof of residency. Business hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Limit ten bulbs per visit. Fluorescent bulbs accepted include circular and U-shape bulbs, compact fluorescent and fluorescent tubes up to 48 inches.   • Other Devices Containing Mercury
    The City of Bryan Fire Department is working with the elemental mercury & reclamation program that is based at Bowling Green State University is a source for recycling devices that contain mercury. Call the B.F.D. office M-F, 7am-4pm at 419-636-4232 to make arrangements.
  • Battery collection
    There is a receptacle outside at the Bryan City Recycle Center, located at 1200 Buffalo Road for the safe disposal of dry cell batteries.  Included are: Double A, Triple A, C, & D batteries, cell phone batteries, button batteries and rechargeable batteries.  This includes batteries from laptop computers, power tools and other portable devices.
    Contact Recycle Center personnel 7:00 am thru 3:00 pm to dispose of liquid or gel cell batteries.  Contact the Recycle Center at 419-636-3382 with any questions.
