Douglas
Johnson or Doug was elected Mayor in November 2001
and began a four (4) year term, January 1, 2002.
Mayor Johnson has a Specialist Degree in Educational Administration
from the University of Toledo. Prior to becoming the Mayor of
the City of Bryan, Doug spent 34 years in education including
13 years as Superintendent at Central Local Schools and 13 years
as Assistant Principal, Athletic Director, and Principal at
Bryan High School. Doug also managed Gorny Winzeler for three
(3) years gaining experience in business/retail and was President
of the Chamber of Commerce in 1999.
Doug is a Board of Director for the Ohio Municipal Electric
Association and a member of the Williams County Mayors
Association.
Doug and his wife Donna have three daughters and five grandchildren.
They are members of Trinity Lutheran Church.
