MacDonald Ruff Ice Rink: 601 Townline Road
During the winter, this open-air rink serves at the city’s spot for ice skating and hockey. Park patrons can rent skates during open skate times, which are announced as weather permits. Cross country skis are also available to rent for a small fee and can be used at Recreation Park, which is right next door and provides ample room. During the offseason, the ice rink hosts a variety of events, including the Newlyn Quest club’s annual Barn Fest event each fall. This facility is available to rent. Please inquire for details.
Community Center: 1130 Buffalo Road
Home to many of our classes, the Community Center can also be rented for parties, meetings, baby showers and other events when not in use for a park activity.
Recreation Park: 850 Center Street
This 78-acre park is home to an 18-hole disc golf course, the Imagination Station playground, baseball/softball fields, sand volleyball court, basketball courts, tennis courts and soccer fields. The largest park in the city, Recreation Park has several paved paths that are perfect for biking, walking and running. This park also includes a pavilion and amphitheater that are available to rent.
Moore Park & Pool: 1017 Oakwood Avenue
Home to Moore Pool, this 11-acre park was established in 1937. The pool features a 90-foot water slide, zero depth entry and diving areas. In addition to the pool, Moore Park includes paved paths that are great for walking, biking and running. A shelter house and three pavilions are available to rent.
